SOCAR summarizes eco-monitoring results

11 January 2013 SOCAR's Ecology Department conducted 265 monitoring operations in 2012, a SOCAR report released on Friday said. Monitoring was conducted by the environmental monitoring department.

According to the report, around 5,608 samples were taken in 2012. Some 44,375 common analyses were conducted.

In particular, two seasonal monitoring operations were conducted at 10 offshore fields, the report said.

SOCAR includes the Azneft production association (the companies producing oil and gas both on and offshore), the Azerkimya industrial association (chemical enterprises) and Azerigaz industrial association (gas distribution).
