Fuad Isgandarov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan headquartered in Brussels and accredited in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, met Laurent Mosar, Chairman of the Parliament of Luxembourg

Ambassador Fuad Isgandarov met the Chairman of the Parliament of Luxembourg Mr. Laurent Mosar on March 14, 2013.
During this meeting the ambassador informed Mr. Laurent Mosar on the place and the role of his country in the region emphasizing that Azerbaijan has always served as a bridge between Europe and Asia. Considering the complex geographical position of Azerbaijan, Mr. Fuad Isgandarov stated that after gaining its independence the country took the path of integration with Europe and its institutions.The ambassador said that Azerbaijan was interested in promoting comprehensive relationship with Luxembourg and expressed his confidence that reciprocal visits would contribute to developing interparliamentary relations.
Pointing out that interparliamentary relations would undoubtedly facilitate the development of bilateral cooperation, Mr. Fuad Isgandarov invited Mr. Laurent Mosar to visit Azerbaijan and expressed hope that this visit would further promote relations between the countries.
Mr. Laurent Mosar thanked the ambassador for the invitation saying that he would be happy to meet his Azerbaijani counterpart in Luxembourg and that the development of relations in various fields could be interesting for his country.
In reply to his question, the Chairman of the Parliament of Luxembourg received exhaustive information about the relations of Azerbaijan with neighbouring countries, the ongoing regional energy and infrastructural projects and the recent initiatives and challenges in the region including the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan over Nagorny Karabagh.
